Dynamic Scripting Language
Small, lightweight, object-oriented, cross-platform scripting language and used to enable programmatic access to objects within both the client application and other applications. Its widely used in millions of Web pages to add functionality, validate forms, detect browsers, and much more. Its primarily usage is in the form of client-side JavaScript, implemented as an integrated component of the web browser, allowing the development of enhanced user interfaces and dynamic websites.
Why We Use JavaScript?
JavaScript makes the web pages more interactive, so that they react to a viewer’s actions and to provide the special effects to the web pages (visual or otherwise). Some of its applications are as followed:
- JavaScript can put dynamic text into an HTML page.
- JavaScript can react to events.
- JavaScript can be used to validate data.
- JavaScript can be used to create cookies.
- A JavaScript can be used to detect the visitor's browser, and - depending on the browser - load another page specifically designed for that browser.
